Abstract：‘Jingla No. 8’is a new F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred lines 04-60 as female parent and 04-136 as male parent．It has mid-early maturity and strong sustainable fruit setting ability．The fruit can preserve good shape throughout the whole growing period．The fruit is of short horn shape with green and smooth skin．The fruit is about 16 cm in length，5.6 cm in diameter，and 0.4 cm in flesh thickness．The single fruit weight is 90-150 g．It is resistant to TMV and middle resistant to CMV．It can yield about 52.5 t•hm-2．It is suitable for cultivation in protected fields in Yangzi River Basin.
