Abstract:‘Yousong 58’ is an early-maturing and loose-curd cauliflower F1 hybrid bred by crossing
cytoplasmic male sterile line‘ HZ-28’ as female parent and inbred line‘ HL-94’ as male parent.It takes about
60 days from transplanting to harvesting in autumn open fields in North China.The plant is of semi erect type
with strong growth potential.The leaves are of oval type,dark green in color with wavy leaf margin.Its
head is hemispherical,white in color with smooth sphere and green stalks.It tastes sweet and tender,and the
quality is excellent.Its single head weight is about 1.0 kg.Its average yield under conventional cultivation is
over 30 t · hm-2.In fields,its resistance to black rot and downy mildew is stronger than that of the contrast‘ Jinsong
62’.It is suitable for open field cultivation in autumn in Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei,Henan,Shandong,
Anhui,etc. Provinces.
