Abstract:Taking 9 sweet corn production and sale enterprises in Beijing as respondents,this paper analyzed the factors aff ecting the quality of sweet corn after harvest,and explored the methods for extending sweet corn shelf life harvest.The results showed that the main factors aff ecting the post-harvest quality of sweet corn in Beijing areas were variety,harvest temperature,pre-cooling methods and temperature,post-harvest grading system,package material,transportation mode and storage temperature.Selecting appropriate varieties according to market requirements,carrying out harvest when temperature being low,adopting crushed ice precooling method to quickly reduce temperature,insisting on long-term grading measures,choosing suitable package material,transportation mode and storage temperature can prolonged the shelf life of sweet corn.
