Abstract：‘Cuijiao No.1’is a new upward hot pepper F1 hybrid bred by crossing nuclear-cytoplasmic interaction type male sterility line‘LH0902A’as female parent and inbred line‘CA0802’as male parent．It is of medium maturity．The first flower node sets on the 16-17th node．The plant type is compact with strong growth potential and continuous fruit setting ability．The immature fruit is green in color，and matured one is bright red in color．The fruit is of finger shape，7-8 cm in length，1.8 cm in width，and its flesh is 1.2 mm in thickness．The single fruit weight is about 6.5 g，spicy degree is about 49 000 SHU．The dry matter content is 27.3%．The yield is about 21 t · hm-2．Its resistance to anthrax and virus disease in fields is stronger than that of the contrast‘Fujianwangzhongwang’ ．It is suitable for planting in spring in Fujian areas．
