Abstract：‘Zhujiao 22’is a new hot pepper F1 hybrid developed by crossing male sterile two-type
line‘ABZhu0312’as female parent and inbred line‘Zhu0416’as male parent．It is of mid-early maturity．
Its growth period is about 163 days．The fruit is of cow-horn shape with tiny crinkle peel．The young fruit is
green in color，and tastes mild spicy．The fruit is 17.9 cm in length and 5.2 cm in width．Its pulp is 0.31 cm in
thickness．The average single fruit weight is 75.9 g．Its VC content in fresh fruit is 806 mg · kg-1．Each single
plant can bear 17.8 fruits．It can yield about 45 t · hm-2．In fields its resistance to virus disease，anthrax and
epidemic disease is stronger than that of the contrast‘Kangda301’．It is suitable for open field cultivation in
early spring in various regions of Henan Province．
