Abstract：‘Bilyu 258’is a broccoli F1 hybrid developed by crossing cytoplasmic male sterile
line‘CMS401’as female parent and inbred line‘202’as male parent．It is of mid-maturity．It takes about
85 days from transplanting to harvest．The plant is of erect type．Its leaf blades are slightly wrinkled with
margin wavy and thick wax on leaf surface．Its head is semi-circular，compact with small and green buds，not
turnning violet even under low temperature．The single head weight is about 0.5 kg．Its VC content is 1 061
mg · kg-1（FW）and protein content is 3.32%．It is rich in mineral nutrients．Its resistance to TuMV and
black rot in fields is equivalent both to the contrasts‘Youxiu’and‘Naihanyouxiu’．It can yield about 19.5 t ·
hm-2．It is suitable for autumn cultivation in Beijing，Hebei，Tianjin and Henan．
