Abstract：‘Jibao No.1’is a new chieh-qua F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line‘Heimao’as
female parent with inbred line‘Lyufeng’as male parent．It is of early-medium maturity．It takes 69 days in
spring and 54 days in autumn from sowing to harvesting，and the harvest period can last for 36 days in spring
and 33 days in autumn．Its fruit is of cylindrical shape．The peel is dark green in color with even distributed
medium-sized white spots，but without furrows．The flesh is compact with superior quality．Its fruit is about
19 cm in length，7.5 cm in transverse diameter，and 1.7 cm in flesh thickness．The single fruit weight is 600-
720 g．The commodity fruit rate is about 95%．Its VC content is 219.0 mg · kg-1，soluble solid matter content
is 36.0 mg · g-1，and crude protein content is 5.16 mg · g-1．It can yield 60.0-67.5 t · hm-2．It is suitable for
autumn cultivation in chieh-qua producing regions of Guangdong Province．
