Abstract:Radish is an important vegetable crop in China.The radish cultivars with rich anthocyanin have bright color and high nutritive value.There are many kinds of anthocyanin in radish and their heredity is complex.Although more progress has been made in its species identification and anthocyanin extraction,studies in gene function identification and expression regulation still lag far behind the model crops.This paper summarized the progress recently made in identification of anthocyanin species in radish,excavation of structural genes and transcription factors,finding of factors affecting anthocyanin biosynthesis in radish,and extraction of anthocyanin from radish,hoping to provide references for correlational studies related to anthocyanin in radish.
