Abstract:Carrot seed grain shape and thousand-grain weight are closely related to seed yield and quality.Taking backcross inbred lines(BILs)colony backcrossed and recombined between a wild carrot species‘Songzi’of distant relative and‘Amsterdam’as test materials, this paper carried out QTL analysis on grain length, grain width,length-width ratio and thousand-grain weight of carrot seeds. The results indicated that the grain length, grain width,length-width ratio and thousand-grain weight of BIL population seed showed a biased normal distribution. There were significant positive correlations between grain length and width and thousand-grain weight. The ratio of length to width was positively correlated with grain length and negatively correlated with grain width, but not with thousand-grain weight, indicating that both grain length and grain width could affect thousand-grain weight.Based on the previously constructed genetic map,3 QTL loci related to grain length, one QTL loci related to grain width and 2 QTL loci related to thousand-grain weight were obtained.Phenotypic contribution rate ranged from 8.8%-18.3%.
