Abstract:With the aim of screening excellent ginger(Zingiber officinale Rosc.) breeding materials, genetic diversity analysis were carried out on 12 agronomic traits of 33 accessions ginger germplasm resources, including plant height, tiller diameter, tiller number, leaf number per tiller, leaf length, leaf width, rhizome length, rhizome width, ginger bulb number, ginger bulb diameter, aboveground fresh weight and yield per plant. Results showed that ginger germplasm had abundant genetic diversities. The variation coefficients of these 12 agronomic traits ranged from 8.43%-26.12%,among which the largest one was branching number and the smallest one was leaf width. The genetic diversity index of each agronomic trait ranged between 1.0-2.1.The highest one was rhizome length.Result of correlation analysis showed that single plant yields all had extreme significant or significant positive correlation with plant height, branching number, rhizome length, aboveground part fresh weight, leaf length and ginger bulb number, but had no significant correlation with the other 6 traits. The principal component analysis extracted 4 principal components. The accumulative total rate of contribution was 71.03%.Clustering analysis divided the test materials into 3 groups.Among them, group III contained 5 superior germplasm accessions with high comprehensive scores. They were‘ Guangxi big ginger’‘Thailand white ginger’‘Guizhou big yellow ginger’‘Yichun big ginger’ and‘Yujiang No. 1’.They could be utilized as ginger breeding germplasm resources.
