Abstract：‘Guota 612’is a new red cluster hot pepper F1 hybrid by crossing inbred line‘18-Y420’as female parent and inbred line‘18-Y423’as male parent．It is medium mature，with vigorous plant growth，concentrated fruit setting，and strong branching ability，reaching 8-10 lateral branches．Fruits clustered，with 8-12 fruits in a single cluster and 80-100 fruiting per plant．The color of green mature fruit is green and full matured one is red．The shape of fruit was like a figure，with about 7.5 cm in length，1.2 cm in width，0.15 cm in thickness and 7 g in single fruit weight．The VC content is 1 176.0 mg·kg-1（FW），capsaicin content is 740.83 mg·kg-1（DW）．It is resistance to TMV and medium resistant to phytophthora blight．The fruit is suitable for fresh and dehydrated consumption．The yield of fresh fruit is about 23.4 t·hm-2，equivalent to dry pepper is about 5.85 t·hm-2．It is suitable for open fields in Henan Province．
