Abstract:‘Guota 612’is a new red cluster hot pepper F1 hybrid by crossing inbred line‘18-Y420’as female parent and inbred line‘18-Y423’as male parent.It is medium mature,with vigorous plant growth,concentrated fruit setting,and strong branching ability,reaching 8-10 lateral branches.Fruits clustered,with 8-12 fruits in a single cluster and 80-100 fruiting per plant.The color of green mature fruit is green and full matured one is red.The shape of fruit was like a figure,with about 7.5 cm in length,1.2 cm in width,0.15 cm in thickness and 7 g in single fruit weight.The VC content is 1 176.0 mg·kg-1(FW),capsaicin content is 740.83 mg·kg-1(DW).It is resistance to TMV and medium resistant to phytophthora blight.The fruit is suitable for fresh and dehydrated consumption.The yield of fresh fruit is about 23.4 t·hm-2,equivalent to dry pepper is about 5.85 t·hm-2.It is suitable for open fields in Henan Province.
