Abstract：Haploid plants can be obtained via androgenesis and gynogenesis.In this paper,factors influencing onion(Allium cepa L.)haploid induction frequency by gynogenesis were discussed.Ploidy determination and chromosome doubling techniques of regenerants were summarized.In addition,application prospect of onion haploid was viewed.
