Abstract：The technique of hybrid seed production in big-type wax gourd was studied in this paper.The results indicated that it is better to leave one fruit for propagation and the fruit on the 2nd or 3rd female flower node is better than other nodes.One male flower is better pollinated to 1-3 female flowers at 7：00-9：00.Good seed maturity and high seed germination percentage could be achieved when the fruit was picked 60 days after pollination and left ripening for 20 days.Planting density of 12 000-13 500 plants per hm2 can gain higher seed yield.
