Abstract：Zetian No.1 is a new melon F_1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line Tz_ 98-2-2 as female parent with inbred line Tz_ 98-3-5-1 as male parent. It has early maturity, 10-12 days earlier than Qitian No.1.The fruit is round with light yellow skin,tastes sweet and crisp.Average fruit weight is 0.4 kg.It yields about 22.5-30.0 t·hm~ -2 .It has resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew and is suitable for cultivation in both open field and protected field. It has been extended for 2 000 hm~2.
