Abstract Brassica vegetables,as an essential part of vegetables,plays an important role in China’s vegetable industry.Its diversity in germplasm resources directly affects the development and upgrading of vegetable industry in China.This paper reviewed the important research results achieved in genetic improvement
and germplasm innovation of Brassica vegetable by distant hybridization,interspesific grafting,somatic hybridization,and molecular breeding.Prospected the future germplasm improvement methods and creation of parental new resources of Brassica vegetables.
