Abstract ‘Yuefeng No.2’is a new cucumber F1 hybrid of North China type,developed by crossing inbred line‘YX11’as female parent and‘GF4’as male parent.The variety is early maturity.The plant is vigorous,and medium branching.Its fruits are setting on the main and lateral vine.It has successive fruit bearing ability.Its fruit is of long rodlike shape,and the surface of fruit is dark green and shiny with faint yellow stripes.Its fruit is about 35.0 cm in length,3.9 cm in diameter,and 1.1 cm in thickness.The single fruit weigh is about 350 g.The variety is moderately resistant to Fusarium wilt,resistant to downy mildew,highly resistant to powdery mildew,and has good heat resistance.Its average yield can reach 48 t · hm-2.The variety is suitable for spring and autumn cultivation in South China.
