Abstract 40 conventional strawberry varieties were evaluated for their resistance to Tetranychus urticae,Frankliniella occidentalis and root rot,and the field control effects of 9 insecticides against T. urticae were tested. The results showed that among the 40 strawberry varieties tested, there were 9 varieties with strong comprehensive resistance to insect pests, including‘Black Pearl’‘Red Pearl’‘Hongxing’and‘Zijinzaoyu’,while the varieties with strong resistance to root rot in the field were‘Fengxiang’‘Yuexin’and‘Fenyu’.Field efficacy test results showed that 5% emamectin benzoate microemulsion had the best control effect on T. urticae, and the control efficacy was 87.23% to 98.78% in 1-5 days after treatment, which indicated good rapidity and persistence,it could be recommended for the control of T. urticae in strawberry production.
