Abstract By comparing the three methods of soil dilution , stem burying and leaf baiting, the veracity and maneuverability of detecting Phytophthora capsici in soil were studied. The results showed that using the leaf disk as bait could not only isolate P. capsici from soil quickly, but also estimate the amount of live pathogenic fungi.
