Abstract Jingla No.2 is a hot pepper F_1 hybrid bred by crossing a cytoplasm male sterile line 181A with the restorer line 98199. It has middle-early maturity. The fruit is sheep-horn shaped, 14.5 cm in length, 2.1 cm in diameter. It is resistant to TMV and CMV, and middle-resistant to phytophthora capsici. The yield of fresh red fruits is 49.6 t·hm~-2, and the yield of dehydrated pepper is 6.2 t·hm~-2. It is suitable for open field cultivation.
