Abstract Longyoudou No. 1 is bred by system selection from Heihua Youdou which was introduced from suburb of Harbin in 1990. It can be harvested in 60 -65 days after sowing. Its tender pod is green with lustre. The pod is flat, endures ageing, and is 12 - 15 cm in length, 20 cm width, 1.0 cm thick. The pod wall has no fibre with good taste.
