Abstract Laifa No. 2 is a new cucumber F1 hybrid developed by crossing female line 1215 with inbred line Y9611. Its plant grows vigorously with high resistent to virus, downy mildew and powdery mildew. It takes only 65 days from sowing to the first harvesting. Fruits are 20-22 cm long, dark green and crispy with less frichome. Average fruit weight is 100 -120 g. It yields 87. 7 -97.9t·hm-2 in greenhouse, and is suitable for greenhouse cultivation from winter to spring in North China.
