Abstract Zhusigua No.1 is a new F 1 hybrid by crossing the self line Zhu No.2 with the self line Zhu No.1. In contrast to the control variety Changsharousigua ,the first fruit setting of this variety is 2-3 nodes lower than that of the control and the harvest time is 5-6 days earlier than that of the control. The variety grows vigorously with high resistance to downy mildew,virus and Fusarium wilt. It yields 30t·hm -2 ,20% higher than that of the control.
