Abstract Zhonghu No.3 is a new summer squash F 1 hybrid developed by crossing white skin summer squash inbred line 94037 as female parent with early-maturing white skin summer squash inbred line 94012 as male parent. It has vigorous plant,and long rhabdoid fruits with white skin. Its yield under protected cultivation is about 75t·hm -2 and is 8.9%-19.9% higher than that of Zaoqingyidai . It has been extended to Beijing,Hebei,Shandong,Ningxia etc.
