Abstract Cuiyu is a new blocky sweet pepper F 1 hybrid with mid early maturity. The number of nodes under the first flower is 12～13,fruit size is 7.5-9.5×6.7-7.0cm,and the wall is 0.36～0.41cm in thickness,average fruit wight is 100～130g and the maximum is 150g. Its early yield is 17.2t·hm -2 and total yield is 31.2t·hm -2 . It is tolerant to CMV and phytophthora blight,and can be grown both in protected and open field.
