Abstract The change of soluble protein type and level during different developmental stages was studied with three Chinese cabbage varieties with different bolting habits. The results were as follows:protein 8(R f =0.482)and protein 11(R f =0.620)were found in the floral bud initiation stage,and protein 15(R f =0.448)and protein 16(R f =0.416)were foundin the floral stalk differentiation stage.
