| Effects of Germination Hastening,Sowing Materials and the Kinds of Fertilizer on Amorphophallus Yield

Abstract The effect of germination hastening,sowing materials and the kinds of fertilizer on exephant-foot yam yield was studied in 6 experimental sits of Qinling mountain region during 1993～1994. The results showed that the germination hastening in 13～20℃ for 15 days could yield 5.9%～22.2% higher than non-hastening and whole-tuber material used as seeds was best,and cutting-tubers with main bud was slightly better than cutting-tubers. Applying 2kg manure+0.2kg phosphorous fertilizer per stalk gave same yield as 1.0...
