Abstract In recent years, the deficiencies of secondary and micro-elements commonly occurred in intensive vegetable production. In this paper, current situation of nutrient deficiency is summarized based on the analysis of secondary and micro-elements supply in vegetable field and the requirement of these elements by vegetable. It is obvious that calcium, magnesium and boron deficiencies are commonly in practices and some indirect and direct factors might lead to their deficiencies. Meanwhile, several counter measures are presented to supply calcium, magnesium and boron in vegetable production.
