Abstract ‘Zigan No.3’is a new red cabbage F1 hybrid developed by crossing a CMS line（CMSZ95-7）with an inbred line（Z97-18）. It is a middle-late maturity variety，taking about 90 days from transplanting to harvest. The head is dark-red，with short core inside. The head is 16.4 cm in height，14.8 cm in diameter. The central core is 6.1 cm in height. Its single head weight is 1.5 – 2.0 kg. It can yield about 66 t?hm-2．It has good quality，and is suitable to be cultivated in all parts of China in autumn and spring.
