Abstract ‘Jingqie No. 13’ is a new eggplant F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line 1156 as female parent and 1125 as male parent. It is of early maturity. The first flower sets on the 10 th node. The plant has strong growth vigor with short internodes. Its fruit is of straight and long-cylinder shape. The fruit is black and shiny in color，25-30 cm in length，5-6 cm in diameter. It has strong continuous fruit setting ability. It can yield over 63.6t·hm-2. It has strong tolerance to low temperature. It is suitable for protected cultivation in northern China.
