Abstract Disinfection and algae removing in nutrient solution is a very important technological link in closed vegetable soilless culture system．Combining with the relevant literature at home and abroad，this paper reviewed the species of pathogen and algae in nutrient solution in vegetable soilless cultivation，infection patterns，principle of different sterilization and algae removal technology，development and utilization status．Besides，the paper also put forward new technique ways and scientific issues expecting to provide theoretical basis for subsequent research and popularization and application in future．
