Abstract Polyaspartic acid(PASP)can improve the plant growth through promoting mineral elements uptake. In order to explore the promoting effect of PASP on tomato seedlings, this experiment took‘Zhongza No.9’as test material, analyzed the effect of adding different ratioes PASP to substrate on tomato seedling growth. The results indicated that comparing with the contrast, adding polyaspartic acid to substrate could accelerate tomato seedling growth and dry matter accumulation, increase chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate(Pn)and root activity.Among all treatments, the comprehensive effect of adding 36.4 g·kg-1 PASP to substrate treatment was the best, and the seedling index was the highest.
