Abstract During the ‘14th Five-Year Plan’period，Beijing will vigorously develop facility agriculture and raise facility mechanization rate to 55%．However，the mechanization level of the other production links except land tillage and preparation is generally low at present．It is urgent to take effective measures to improve the overall mechanization level of facility vegetables production．Through field visit and investigation on typical facility vegetable planting bases，and vegetable farmers in Shouguang，and agricultural machinery production and manufacturing enterprises of Shandong Province，this paper analyzed in-depth from the aspects of facility automatization，industrial clustering，variety specialization，production mechanization，and service socialization，etc．The paper also compared and summarized the current situation and future development direction of facility vegetables in Beijing；put forward countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of promoting equipment support level，comprehensive mechanization level and socialized service level，so as to provide experience for developing mechanization of facility vegetables in Beijing．
