Abstract In the context of a shift from quantitative expansion to a focus on quality in the cucumber industry,people are increasingly paying attention to the improvement of its quality.Cucumber has high yield with disease resistance and desirable fruit appearance as well as flavor has become an important goal of modern breeding.In this review,we systematically analyzed researches such as genetic analysis,gene mining,molecular markers created and valuation-utilization of high-quality germplasm resources on cucumber quality traits formation.Finally,prospects were made for further study on cucumber quality traits and the cultivation of high-quality cucumber varieties.
