Abstract The resistance of Lycopersicon hidutum LYC4 to Botrytis cinerea was evaluated by inoculating spore suspension to seedlings, and leaf, stem, fruit segments. The results showed that the disease index was 0 in both seedlings and detached-leaves,the relative stem infection rate and fruit rot expansion rate were 0 and 5.7 %,respectively. For this reason, the L. hirdutum LYC4 is considered to be highly resistant to tomato gray mold.
