Abstract Chuannongpaojiao No.1 is a new processing hot pepper variety selected from an American hot pepper material. It is mid-late maturity. The fruit is blunt circular cone fruit shape, with light brown crackle or spiral stripe on fruit face, thick flesh (0.5 cm) and strong hot. Average fruit weight is 18.5 g. It is suitable to be processed into pickle pepper and has special flavor after processed. The average yield is 22.5 t·hm -2.
