Abstract Genetic relationship of 88 cultivars from 4 cultivated species of Cucurbita were studied by molecular marker technology AFLP. Ten pairs of selective primers were screened out from 64 pairs of primers. A total of 515 bands were obtained. Cluster analysis showed that Cucurbita ficifolia Bouchè had close relationship with Cucurbita pepo L., and farest relationship with Cucurbita maxima Duch. ex Lam. Among the three main cultivated species, Cucurbita pepo L. had closer relationship with Cucurbita maschata Duch....
