Salt tolerant cucumber variety‘Jinchun No.5’and salt sensitive variety‘Jinyou No.1’were used with
NaCl concentration as 0 and 200 mmol·L-1,root exudates concentration as 0,30 mL per plant and 20 mL per plant to
study the effect of cucumber root exudates on soil nutrients and enzyme activities under salt stress by pot
experiment.Results showed that salt stress inhibited stem diameter,plant length,soil enzyme activities,alkali-
hydrolyzable nitrogen content,available phosphorus content and organic matter content,and significantly increased
available potassium.Under salt stress,except available potassium,low concentration of root exudates(30 mL per
plant)promoted every index in each treatment,eased salt stress to some extent;high concentration of root exudates(20
mL per plant)inhibited or significantly inhibited every index in each treatment,aggravated slat stress.
By isolated microspore culture technique from pakchoi(Brassica rapa ssp.chinensis),9 regeneration plants
including 2 haploids and 7 diploids were obtained.The spontaneously double rate of diploid was up to 77.7 %.Two
haploids and 2 diploids were selected to construct their respective DNA pool.Combining MethylationSensitive
Restriction Endonuclease-PCR method with SRAP marker technique,it gained 8 primer combinations showing polymorphism
from 768 pairs of primers.It indicated that the ploidy level of regeneration plants from pakchoi may be related to
DNA methylation in plant genomics.
This paper studied the effects of 3 pruned methods(2 stems,3 stems and 4 stems pruned method)on
photosynthetic gas exchange parameters,transpiration and distribution pattern of assimilate.The result showed that
net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),stomatal limitation value(Ls),transpiration rate(Tr)and water
use efficiency(WUE)were in upper leaves>in middle leaves>in lower leaves under 3 pruned methods.In middle or lower
leaves the decrease of Pn was considered as a result of non-stomata restriction.Compared with 2 stems pruned
method,the Tr in upper or middle leaves,and WUE in lower leaves of 3 or 4 stems pruned method increased.Under 3
pruned methods,the distribution pattern of assimilate to fruits was the highest,the next was to stems and leaves,and
the distribution of assimilate to root was the lowest.Compared with 2 stems pruned method,per plant yield and weight
of single fruit of sweet pepper were significantly increased under 3 or 4 stems pruned method.
A multiple allele inherited genetic male sterile line‘00S107’was used as a source of male sterility in
pakchoi.Methods of crossing and backcrossing were applied to transfer the male sterility to a male fertile line
‘CA123’.A new genetic male sterile line‘GMS001’with 100 % of male sterile plants was obtained.‘GMS001’was
similar to‘CA123’in horticultural characters.An excellent hybridized combination‘GMS001×D3’was developed,which
is uniform and superior to‘Huawang’in yield.
In a field experiment,effects of three plant growth substances,Diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate(DTA-
6),Uniconazole(S3307)and SOD mimics(SODM)were studied on potato yield,quality and its root physiology through foliar
application at potato tuber expansion period.The results showed that compared to the control,SODM, DTA-6 and S3307
increased yield by 17.4 %,8.3 %,and 4.1 % respectively.SODM could increase the contents of starch,water-soluble
protein and sucrose.S3307 could increase the content of water-soluble protein.Three plant growth substances could
decrease the content of reduced sugar.The experiment draw the conclusion that three plant growth substances could
improve the quality,yield and activity of root metabolism,but SODM treatment had the best effect.
In the solar greenhouse,adopting eco-organic soilless cultivation model,the suitable dosage of specially
used fertilizer for eggplant was studied.The results showed that with the increase amount of this speeially used
fertilizer,the plant height,single fruit weight,yield per plant and average plot yield increased.But the production
increasing effect per unit fertilizer decreased.According to regression statistical analysis,the best fertilizer
applying quantity for eggplant was 0.098 kg·m-2(N 19 %,P2O5 6 %,K2O 25 %),the theoretical yield was 9.10 kg·m-2
(discount 91 t·hm-2).The results of statistical analysis inosculated with that of the field experiments.
The antifungal effect of 1×1011 cfu·g-1 Bacillus Subtilis WP against cucumber gray mold(Botrytis
cinerea)tested by allied toxicity measurement and field efficacy trials.The result showed that Bacillus Subtilis WP
had good inhibitory effect on cucumber gray mold(Botrytis cinerea)with EC50 of 5.89×106 cfu·mL-1,which
indicated that it had the same effect with control insecticides Pyrimethanil.The same result was found in field
experiment.The efficacies of 0.08 g·m-2 Bacillus Subtilis and 0.11 g·m-2 control insecticides were 70.81 % and
77.40 %,respectively.
‘Xinqie No.6’was released first by crossing No.4 long eggplant inbred lines bred from‘Xinjiangchangqie
’with No.26 long eggplant inbred lines bred from Soviet Russia long eggplant,then followed by systematic breeding
involved in segregational populations.‘Xinqie No.6’presents strong growth vigor.The first flower grows at the 5-6
axilae,the fruits are long and slim with shining light violet red color.The average single fruit weight is 140 g.It
has stronger resistance to verticillium wilt than‘Xinjiangchangqie’.It can yield about 67.5-82.5 t·hm-2.It is
suitable to be cultivated under plastic shed or in open filed covered farm in early spring at Xinjiang.
‘Ganxiangli’is a new pumpkin F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line 03B811 and 03C417.It is early
maturity and grows vigorously.The first female flower starts from node 9-11.It takes 40 days from flowering to
harvest. The fruit is round and flat,dark green rind with green stripes,thick orange flesh,floury and sweet taste
with flavour of chestnut.Average fruit weight is about 1.5 kg.It yields 30.0-37.5 t·hm-2.It is suitable for
cultivation in open and protected fields in spring.
‘Liannongwujin No.2’is a newly bred kidney bean variety developed by systematic selection after crossing
made in 4 parents of‘80-3 changjiangdou’,‘85-1’,‘Corrull49-242’and‘87 B’.It has the characteristics of
trailing plant with green flat-shape pod.The length of pod is 22 cm,the width is 1.5-2.0 cm and the weight per pod
is about 23.0 g.It is resistant to rust and mid-resistant to anthracnose.Its yield is about 4.6 t·hm-2,3.3 t·hm-
2,3.75 t·hm-2 and 4.8 t·hm-2,respectively in open field in spring and autumn,protected field in spring and
winter.It is suitable for cultivation in open field in spring and autumn,protected field in spring,autumn and winter
in northern China.
A new F1 hybrid variety of carrot‘Tianhong No.5’was selected by using males sterile three-line
methods.Its female parent is HLBcms005 and male parent is HLBm005.The plants grow upward and strongly.The plant high
is about 62 cm with 10 leaves.Its fleshy roots are uniform,of column shape.The average root length is 14.47 cm.The
root width is 4.06 cm and average root weight is 106.92 g.Its carotene content amounts to 70.28 mg·kg-1(FW).The
soluble solid content is 9.11 %.Its growing period is 100-105 days.The average yield is 48 t·hm-2.There are 420
000-450 000 plants per hm2.It is suitable for spring sowing,the bolting percentage is 0.26 %.
