  The effects of soaking seeds with different concentrations of uniconazole (0,5,10,20,40 mg.kg-1) on the growth of cucumber seedling were studied.   1-Methylcyclopropene(1-MCP) is a new inhibitor of ethylene perception. Effect of 1-MCP (0 - 1 000 nmol. L-1) on pepper fruits stored at 20C was initially studied.   Different varieties of bean, coriander, red beet and cabbage with different levels of disease resistance were used as materials. Pathogen, Rhizoctonia solani, Ramularia coriandri, Aphanomyces cochlioides and Botrytis cinerea were inoculated, respectively. In autumn it takes only 40-45 days from sowing to first harvesting. Average fruit weight is about 150 g. Fruits are green,sweet and crispy with high marketable percentage. The fruit neck is about 2.6 cm which is about 1/7 of fruit length. It yields 26.8 t.hm-2 ,91.6 % higher than that of Jinyan No.4 .

It has long shelf life and is tolerant to TMV and phytophthora blight. It yields 289.4 hm-2,and is suitalbe to cultivate in both protected and open field.
