  The nitrate contents in tomato,bitter gourd and flowering chinese cabbage reduced 27.2%-34.8%, 28.7% -36.1% and 55.6%-61.5%,but the yield of them increased 7.3%-11.1%,10.7%-16.1% and 7.2% -15 1% respectively after fertilizing the composite microbial fertilizer. The contents of soluble sugar in tomato increased 0.9%-1 3%. The contents of nitrate and harmful elements in all treatments products came up to the standard of non pollution vegetable quality.

  RAPD system is established by PCR optimizing experiment. Five primers are picked out for genetic purity determination from eighty arbitrary primers,of which the primer OPM17 can be used for genetic purity determination in three hybrids. Special fingerprinting of the three hybrids is obtained by RAPD in many cultivars. It can identify genuineness of these three hybrids.

  A simple and rapid method for detection of turnip mosaic virus (TuMV) was developed with RT PCR. Using the new method,TuMV in fresh leaves of 8 different crucifer vegetable crops was successfully detected without complicated extraction of the virus.

  The cucumber seedlings were treated at high temperature after being sprayed with Ca 2+ at the second true leaf. The results showed that Ca 2+ could retard the descent speed of chlorophyll content,chlorophyll a/b,phytosynthetic rate and quantum yield effectively,and inhibit the increasement of MDA content and electrolytic leakage. The Ca 2+ treatment also resulted in high activities of the enzymes which eliminate active oxygen in cucumber seedlings.

  Broccoli was sprayed by brassinolide with concentration of 0.001,0.01 and 0.1mg·L -1 separately.   Xinfan No.9 (Originally called Xinhong No.2) is a new processing tomato F 1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line 92 75 with Jiazhouzhiyong . It is early maturity. Its plants are determinate and grow vigorously. It contains 5.32% of soluble solid,119.9mg·kg -1 of lycopene and average fruit weight is 67.5g. The yield is 88t·hm -2 ,12%higher than check UC 82 . It is high resistance to TMV and tolerance to CMV.

  Dongnong 709 is a new tomato F 1 hybrid developed by crossing parental lines of 92 10 5 with open pollinated variety T66. It is determinate and grows vigorously with a high resistance to TMV and fusarium wilt of tomato,tolerance to early blight and low temperature. Its fruits are red, firmness with long shelf life and are fit for storage and transportation. It yields about 112.5-129.5kg·hm -2 and can be well cultivated in open and spring protected field.
