    This experiment investigated rootknot nematodes on tomato in Heilongjiang province in 1997-1998. Nematodes happened seriously only in greenhouse in Daqing. Morphological identification showed that this nematode was Meloidogyne incognita. The identifying technique of tomatos seedling resistance to rootknot nematode is that 30 days seedling inoculated 5 000 individuals per plant in 10 cm deep.     The uredospores of cowpea rust pathogen,Uromyces vignae,were tested for their conditions of sporulation and inoculation. Successful sporulations were always obtained when the uredospores were incubated on sterilized tap or distilled water,1 % glucose,1 % sucrose,leaf extract of cowpea seedlings or surface of separating leaves.     The relationship between yield per plant and 6 different characters was analyzed by use of 22 tumorous stem mustard varieties.     The effect of dryheat treatment at 76 with various time and moisture content on seeds vigour of Radish was studied.     Shijiatiancuiwan No.1 was developed by pedigree selection from cross of Zhongshanqin and Shijiadacaiwan No.1. It has the characteristics of early maturity,high yield,good quality and excellent marketability. Its fresh pods yield 11.4-13.5 thm-2. The plant is 74 cm high with white flower and dark green pods. One hundred pods weighs about 850 g. It can be harvested 150 days after sowing in Sichuan basin,and 90 days in Yunnan,Guangxi and Fujian.
