    Zhongjiao No.7 is a hybrid of crossing inbred line 83077-1 with 83-163-8. It is early maturing, middle resistant to TMV, CMV and phytophthora capsici blight. It yields 39 ̄60t/ ha. Average weight per fruit is 100 ̄ 120g, Fruits are bell-shaped, dark green, sweet and crisp, and have good quality and high marketable percentage. It has been grown in Beijing, Hebei,Shanxi and other southern vegetable production base of china for 2512ha.

    Zhongza No.8 is a tomato F1 hybrid with parental lines of 882-32 and 882-7.Its plants are indeterminate and vigorous with a high resistance to TMV, leaf mould disease and tolerant to CMV. It has globle-shaped and red fruits with good quality, and has much less deformed ones. Its productivity is stable and high with yield of 75 ̄150t per ha.     The F1 of Xiao Qing Kou × Lu Da Xiao Gen was crossed and backcrossed with` Tong Xiang Huang Ya Cai . and a new Chinese cabbage variety-` Huang Ya 14-1 was developed. Huang Ya 14-1 is tender and tasty, with bright yellow inner leaves. It is also resistant to cold and TuMV. The yield of Huang Ya 14-1 reaches 3.75 ̄5.25t / ha, 100% higher than that of Yu Yao Huang Ya Cai .

    The self-imcompatibility line 87158, an easy bolting type was used to study the effect of shading in seedling stage on bolting and flowering.The results showed that flower buds had differentiated when the seedling was in four-leaf stage or six-leaf stage.     The relationships between yield and nitrate accumulation of cucumber and nitrogen applications was investigated. Results show that when the nitrogen amount was at a high level, the cucumber yield did not increase with amount of nitrogen; but the nitrate accumulation in the fruits continued increasing, and the nitrate content in high nitrogen treatment was 256. 4 percent as much as that in the low nitrogen treatment.

    The number and size of rhizomes were different depending on growth stages. The number and size of rhizome were highest at 15 ̄20 leaf stages,lower at 21 ̄25 leaves and lowest at more than 25 leaves. It is advantageous to grow new rhizome when they were harvested or thin out every 5 ̄7 days and kept a space of 50cm×50cm.

    s:After analysing different locations water quality of northeast, north, and northwest China, the most areas water EC and pH value are higher than standard. If to use these water for making nutrient solution need to add a lot acid, and some elements are still more than enough. It needs to select suitable system for crop production.
