    Eggplant(Solanum melongena L.) is one of important vegetable in China.During Chinese‘The Twelfth Five-year Plan’,it get remarkable achievement in eggplant genetic breeding research:there are more than 70 new eggplant varieties with good quality,resistant and high yield are used in main vegetable producing areas;a number of new eggplant resources with good agricultural traits are screened and innovated;conventional breeding techniques,such as heterosis utilization,and modern biotechnology breeding techniques,such as haploid induction and molecular marker assisted selection and so on,have made important progress.The paper summarize eggplant main research achievement on new variety selection,germplasm resources,breeding and seed production techniques in recent five years,and discuss the research direction on eggplant genetics breeding in the future.

    MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are 20-24 nt non-coding RNA,which plays a very important role by
    targeting mRNA under abiotic stress. This paper focused on the low temperature,exogenous ABA and drought
    stress in the regulation mechanism of miRNA,and to further clarify the mechanism of miRNAs in response to
    abiotic stress.

    Chinese kale(Brassica alboglabra L. H. Bailey)is a thermophilic vegetable,which can’t well grow at high temperature.High temperaturewould prevent Chinese kale from growing and result in poor quality of its seedlings,seriously influence yield and quality in later period in summer and autumn.Taking 10 Chisnses kale lines as experimental materials,the growth indexs and physiology indexs under different high temperature stress were measured.The relative change rate of 10 Chinese kale lines under different high temperature stress was analyzed.The results showed that heat damage index and relative growth could be used to determine the heattolerance ability of Chinese kale lines,which can be most quick and convenient.The difference in heat tolerance among the varieties could be indicated by physiological and chemical index under 37℃ /25 ℃ or 40℃ /32 ℃. After the treatment of 37 ℃ for 1 hour the expression variation of MBF1c was increased.According to the comprehensive analysis,‘Aijiaoxianggu’ was the most heat-tolerant lines.

    This study analyzed and identified gene structure and phylogenesis of 32 carrot thaumatinlike proteins through genome database and bioinformatics method. The results showed that the carrot TLP genes distributed on eight out of nine chromosomes,the protein sequences were more conserved. The phylogeny analysis showed that carrot TLPs were classified into 10 evolutionary groups,most members of group fifth derived from chromosome one,which have potential antifungal activity.

    In order to determine the fertilization schedule of nutrient substrate bag-cultivation tomato in solar greenhouse,with a tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)cultivar‘Shengluofei’,tomato plant was treated with four kinds of fertilization levels(CK:experience fertilizer application,F1:standard fertilizer level;F2:20% lower than F1;F3:20% higher than F1,which F1 treatment was calculated according to Israel nutrient solution formula of tomato each stage).The effects of different fertilizer levels on the plant growth and biomass,fruit yield and quality,and nutrient utilization of tomato was investigated.The results showed that at the whole growth period of tomato,there was a significant increase in the plant height,stem diameter,biomass and fruit yield per plant of F2 treatment compared with the other treatments.In addition,N and K nutrient utilization efficiency of F2 treatment was also higher.But the fruit quality between four treatments was not a significant difference iomass and fruit yield per plant of F2 treatment compared with the other treatments.In conclusion,F2 treatment is the best fertilization schedule for nutrient substrate bag-cultivation tomato in this experiment.

    Taking celery‘wentula’(western celery)and lettuce‘tieren’(head lettuce)as experimental materials,the growth indexs and physiology indexs of celery and lettuce seedlings at different stage were measured.Meanwhile,the rule of seedling growth at different stage and correlation with effective ccumulation temperature were studied.The results showed that celery seedling grew slowly at early stage but grew quickly later.Lettuce seedling grew quickly from the cotyledon stage to the fourth-leaf stage but grew slowly later.The chlorophyll SPAD and POD activity of celery seedlings had sustainably increased,
    root activity and CAT activity firstly increased and subsequently became stable.However,in lettuce seedlings,the chlorophyll SPAD,root activity and POD activity showed the tendency of firstly increasing and subsequently decreasing,CAT activity showed a little drop and a sustainable grow,SOD activity had two peak times.Effective accumulation temperature of celery seedlings was 949.0 ℃·d with a large increase at the cotyledon stage and fifth-leaf stage.Effective accumulation temperature of lettuce seedlings was 502.9 ℃·d with a stable increase at each stage.Above all,the most appropriate planting stage for celery seedling is the fourth-leaf stage and for lettuce it is the fifth-leaf stage.

    With 8 kinds of common cultivation of vegetables in Hainan as receiver plants,indoor bioassay method was used to study the allelopathy of aqueous extracts of Momordica charantia leaves and stems.The results showed that the aqueous extracts of M. charantia leaves and stems to 8 kinds of receiver plants seed germination and seedling growth were the allelopathic effect of a certain,but the way and strength of allelopathy among species and indexes were significantly different.Integrated allelopathic effects of the average size were order to Capsicum annuum > Cucumis sativus > Vigna unguiculata > Phaseolus vulgaris > Raphanussativus >Lycopersicon esculentum var. cerasiforme > Daucus carota > Lycopersicon esculentum.The research results provided theoretical and experimental basis for the establishment of a reasonable cultivationsystem.

    As an important agro-products,the price of the potato was influenced by many factors and discussed in the article. Base on the data of the monthly price of national wholesale market from January 2005 to December 2015,the fluctuation ruler were studied with X-12 a nd H-P filtering models and the seasonal,
    cycle,trend and irregular fluctuations were deposed. The results showed that the main reason of seasonal price fluctuation was the seasonal production,the increasing cost and consumption had pushed up the price increasing in the long trend although the overall would be flat,the cycle fluctuation was obvious and the average period was about 47 months,and the weather changes and market events were the main factors affecting of the price irregular
    fluctuation. Some countermeasures were given such as promoting production,enhancing the whole industry chain information analysis and early-warning and the price insurance system,promoting the convergence development of primary,secondary and tertiary industries to ensure the steady growth of the income of potato farmers,improve the balance of market supply and demand and smooth the marketing fluctuation.

    ‘Yanfen 207’ is a new tomato F1 hybrid developed by crossing‘P91-1-26-6-5-1-9’as female parent and‘NF19-9-5-15-6-3’as male parent.The variety belongs to unlimited growth type.The first flower sets at the 6th node,and the inflorescence interval is 2 or 3 leaves.The plant growth vigor is medium. The fruit is pink color,round shape,no green fruit shoulder,good hardness,high soluble solid content,long shelf-life.The index of fruit shape is 0.85.The average single fruit weight is 200 g.The total yield is about 97.5 t·hm-2.It is suitable for protected cultivation in Beijng,Hebei,Henan,Shandong,Shaanxi,Inner Mongolia,Sichuan,and Jiangsu,etc.,in early spring.

    ‘Zhejiao No.3’ is a new pepper F1 hybrid developed by crossing fine claw pepper inbred line ‘ 09-139-1-01-22-4-30-31’ as female parent and OX horn pepper inbred line ‘08-007-91-03-0-12-212-1-31’ as male parent.It is mid-early maturity.The fruit is deep green,fine claw shaped,18 cm in length and 2.0 cm in diameter.The single fruit weight is about 22.5 g with productivity of about 55.5 t·hm-2.It is highly resistant to TMV and resistant to Phytophthora blight.It is suitable for open field,protected field and trans-summer long season cultivation in many places in China.

    The okra F1 hybrid ‘ Minqiukui No.1’ is bred by crossing‘Dongyuan No.2’as female parent and‘gz136-1’as male parent.The plant grows vigorously,beautiful fruit shape without setae,1.5-2.0 m in plant height.The fist flower sets on the 6-7th node.Its fruit is green with 5 arrises,about 13 cm in length and 1.8 cm in diameter.The single fruit weight is about 15 g.It can yield about 39.2 t·hm-2.It is suitable for cultivation in Fujian Province.

    ‘Suyu No.1’ is a new bulk purple yam variety developed from‘ Zhejiangzishiyao’ through the systematic breeding method.The yam tuber is of thick and short shape,with purple brown skin and purple flesh,approximately 25 cm in length and 20 cm in circumference.It displays a medium growing period with about 155 days,and usually produces 2 yam tubers for a single plant.The yam weight of a single plant is about 1.0 kg,and anthocyanin and starch contents are 9.28‰ and 23.9%,respectively.This variety does not produce yam bulbil,and average yield is 30 t·hm-2.This purple yam variety is suitable for open cultivation in Jiangsu Province.It is recommended to plant in the areas along the Yangtze River through mechanized operation.
