    Facility vegetable industry is a characteristic and advantageous industry of Hebei Province,playing an important role in ensuring the year-round supply of vegetables for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and promoting farmers’income increase.In recent years,Hebei Province has strengthened scientific and technological support,achieving rapid development of facility vegetables through technical measures such as breeding new varieties,soil remediation,water-saving production,and brand building.However,it still faces challenges such as severe product homogenization,low efficiency in production and marketing linkage,frequent natural disasters,and pest outbreaks.There is still a need to follow the laws of industrial development and market demand,using technological innovation as the driving force to promote the highquality development of the facility vegetable industry.

    Using survey data,this paper rationally analyzed the changes taken placed in vegetable industry of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps during the past 5 years and current development situation of the ‘Corps’.Combining the conditions of production investigation and survey,the paper also pointed out problems restricting the high-quality development of vegetable industry of the‘ Corps’.Aiming at the low level of industrialization management,weak market circulation capacity,idle facilities,hidden dangers in quality and safety of vegetable products,and low technical levels,etc.,the paper put forward several suggestions,including prioritizing the development of high-yield vegetable production in suburban areas,developing vigorously Gobi facility vegetable industry,strengthening policy guarantee and improving level of vegetable industrialization,etc.,so as to provide new ideas for high quality development of the ‘Corps’ vegetable industry.

    Combining the planting characteristics of different regions in China,the design and development of Chinese cabbage harvesting machines has become an important task for mechanized production of Chinese cabbage in China. This paper mainly introduced the major Chinese cabbage harvesting equipments at home and abroad,and described their main working structure and basic performance parameters. At the same time,the paper expounded the main cultivation methods for Chinese cabbage at present and put forward several issues facing the mechanized harvesting of Chinese cabbage at present,including the mismatching between foreign machinery and local agronomy,disunity of domestic planting agronomy,scattered planting scale and low economic benefit,etc.The paper also proposed countermeasures for future development,such as uniforming planting pattern;designing key components of machine to improve harvest quality and reduce harvest damage;conducting machinical generalization and automation design to improve processing and manufacturing and reduce cost,etc.

    Brassicaceae vegetable crops hold a significant position in Chinese vegetable production and market supply.DNA fingerprinting has emerged as an effective method for studying the genetic diversity of plant germplasm resources,seed purity,and other related aspects.In recent years,this technology has matured considerably,enabling rapid and accurate species authentication,identification,classification.This paper summarizes the application in genetic breeding of Brassicaceae vegetables including variety identification,analysis of genetic diversity and heterozygous groups.This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the advancements made in DNA fingerprinting technology for Brassicaceae vegetables while discussing the challenges associated with its implementation in breeding.

    The innate immune system of plants plays an important role in disease defense.Under pathogen attack,plant innate immune system can perceive injury via recognition pathogen-derived elicitors and endogenous danger signals molecules(DAMPs)and activate various defense responses.This thereby blocks or reduces the invasion of pathogen.Recently,some studies found that plant extracellular self-DNA(esDNA)fragments as a DAMP induces plant growth inhibition and immune response.In this paper,the production,functional characteristics,signaling pathways,potential receptors,and applications of esDNA are systematically summarized,which provides good reference for the further basic study and agricultural application of the signal molecule.

    FLOWERING LOCUS C(FLC)encodes MADS-box family protein and plays a key role in the vernalization pathway of Arabidopsis.To explore the role of BoFLCs in the vernalization pathway of cabbage,we knocked out BoFLCs in cabbage inbred line‘GL’by CRISPR/Cas9.All the knock-out lines had significantly earlier flowering time,providing insight into the function of BoFLCs gene.The BC1-2P2 and BC2F1 segregating populations were constructed using late-flowering cabbage inbred line‘20-2221’(P1,BoFLCs-w)and mid-early-flowering cabbage inbred line‘20-2229’(P2,BoFLCs-z).Sequence analysis showed that BoFLC1,BoFLC3 and BoFLC5 had sequence differences between parents,and specific molecular markers were developed based on these sequence differences.The BC2F1 population was screened by the BoFLCs specific molecular markers.One plant containing BoFLC1-w/w and BoFLC5-w/w homozygous haplotype,and BoFLC3-w/z heterozygous haplotype(BC2F1-29)was obtained.The bolting time and flowering time of BC2F1-29 were 8.00 and 13.00 days later than those of backcross parent‘20-2229’,respectively.Four plants containing BoFLC1-w/w and BoFLC3-w/w homozygous haplotype,and BoFLC5-w/z heterozygous haplotype(BC2F1-55,BC2F1-119,BC2F1-121,BC2F1-163)were obtained.The average bolting time and flowering time of these four plants were 9.75 and 13.50 days later than those of‘20-2229’,respectively.In addition,three plants containing BoFLC1-w/w,BoFLC3-w/w and BoFLC5-w/w homozygous haplotype(BC2F1-82,BC2F1-106,BC2F1-192)were obtained.The average bolting time and flowering time of these three plants were 11.33 and 15.67 days later than those of‘20-2229’,respectively.In this study,BoFLCs specific molecular markers were developed and the excellent BoFLCs genotypes were efficiently pyramided and the bolting properties of parent‘20-2229’was improved.

    In order to reveal the composition difference of the wax powder metabolites on the surface of the broccoli inflorescence,taking the wax powder deficient mutant and the wild type of broccoli as test materials,based on the non-targeted metabolomics of gas chromatography tandem time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC-TOF-MS),the main metabolic pathways and their products of the broccoli wax powder deficient mutant and the wild type were deeply analyzed,and the significantly different metabolites were screened by using univariate and multivariate variable statistical analysis and database annotation.The results showed that a total of 24 significantly different metabolites were detected in the wax powder of broccoli buds,including 14 kinds of amino acids,4 kinds of organic acids,1 kind of fatty acid,1 kind of amine,1 kind of sugar,and 3 kinds of other secondary metabolites.Among them,there were 18 kinds of down-regulated,including 13 kinds of amino acids.Through comprehensive enrichment analysis and topological analysis,11 important metabolic pathways with prominent significance were obtained,among which the most significantly different metabolic pathway was the biosynthesis of amino acids,followed by the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites;and the most important one was tryptophan metabolism.Therefore,it is speculated that the lack of broccoli wax powder can regulate the content such as amino acids and organic acids and other secondary metabolites in the broccoli buds by regulating the pathways such as tryptophan metabolism,the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites,and the biosynthesis of amino acids,then regulate the growth of the inflorescence,the nutritional quality,and the cold resistance.

    Pepper is an important vegetable and ecnomic crop in China.Anthracnose seriously threatens peppers production.Breeding resistant varieties is the most basic and effevtive control measure.In this study,18 chilli pepper inbred lines were used to identify the pathogenicity of 5 different pepper anthracnose pathogens,and the strong pathogenic strains were selected to identify the aritifical inoculation resistance of 529 pepper materials.The results showed that among 402 chilii pepper inbred lines,1 showed immunity,1 showed high resistance,29 showed disease resistance,62 showed disease tolerance,and the remaining 309 materials showed susceptibility.Among 127 chilli pepper hybrid materials,3 showed immunity,1 showed high resistance,23 showed disease resistance,24 showed disease tolerance,and the remaining 76 showed susceptibility.A recombinant inbred line population was structured using parents with significant differences in pepper anthracnose resistance.The mixed major gene and polygene inheritance model of plant quantitative traits was used to conduct pepper anthracnose resistance.The results showed that the multigenic additive epistatic genetic model was the optimal model.

    The suspected lettuce virus disease stain collected from Baoding City,Hebei Province was molecular biology identified by RT-PCR method,and the phylogenetic tree was constructed.The results showed that specific primers CMV and PVY amplified single bands with sizes of 260 bp and 420 bp,respectively.Through nucleotide sequence Blast alignment and phylogenetic tree analysis,it was found that the lettuce virus isolate from Baoding City,Hebei Province was clustered on the same branch as the Indian tomato CMV isolate(MN514839.1)and the Indian potato PVY isolate(JX945850.1),with homology of 95% and 92%,respectively.The research first detected that the lettuce virus disease was caused by the combined infection of CMV and PVY in Baoding City,Hebei Province.

    Taking 16 Chinese kale F1 hybrids as donor material,this paper compared and analyzed the effects of optimized buds disinfection,isolated microspore release and filtering on culture of Chinese kale free microspore.The results indicated that the 16 tested Chinese kale donor materials all had embryogenesis capability,and obtained regenerated plants of different types.Thus,a larger-scale and large quantities doubled haploid(DH)of Chinese kale were obtained.Through comprehensive evaluation and screening in the field,these DH lines by isolated microspore culture technology of Chinese kale were used in breeding,and 3 new Chinese kale F1 hybrids‘20M4 Jielan’‘21M2 Jielan’‘22M11 Jielan’with different maturity were bred.

    In order to screen the biocontrol strains which can be used to control capsicum blight,in this study,an endophytic bacterium strain S39 was isolated from a pepper plant,and the inhibitory effect of strain S39 and its metabolites on Phytophthora capsicum was determined by plate confrontation method and Oxford cup method.The antibacterial profile,disease prevention and growth promotion effect of strain S39,the effect on rhizosphere soil microbial population and its biocontrol factors were analyzed.The results showed that the antibacterial rate of strain S39 against Phytophthora capsicum flat plate was 83.00%,and the antibacterial rate of secondary metabolites reached 75.17%.Moreover,strain S39 had inhibitory effect on a variety of pathogenic bacteria,and the bacteriostatic rate reached 63.80%-86.33%.The greenhouse potting test showed that its prevention effect against pepper blight could reach 75.87%.It had a significant growth promotion effect on pepper plants,and the root growth rate was 21.05%.At the same time,it can increase the number of bacteria and actinomycetes in the rhizosphere soil.It can produce antibacterial substances such as protease,amylase,cellulase,dextran enzyme,etc.,and has a good application prospect as a biocontrol preparation.

    In order to clarify the herbicides that are safe to common beans and have good control effect on common pre-emergence weeds,17 herbicides were screened by indoor pot experiment and field experiment.The results of pot experiment showed that pendimethalin,prometryn and S-metolachlor had good safety to common beans at seedling stage.The field experiment showed that 45% S-metolachlor microcapsule suspension 2 025-3 225 g · hm-2 had good control effect on weeds in the vegetable field 30 days after application.The total number of plants that had control effect was 77.52%-78.58%,and the fresh weight prevention effect was 88.21%-88.92%.It had good safety to common beans,and the yield of common beans increased by 11.61%-20.51%.It shows that 45% S-metolachlor CS can be used as a herbicide for pre-emergence weeds after common bean sowing,and has a good application prospect.

    Aiming at the scientific and industrial issues including no systematic identification for humidity resistance of cucumber varieties,restriction for humidity breeding,and choice for producing varieties,this study carried out identification on humidity resistance of 71 cucumber varieties from 3 ecotypes by using identification method established earlier.The results showed that the humidity resistance values of these experimental varieties were between 1.940-3.084.Among them,the humidity resistance values of 3 varieties were lower than 2.0,showing extrame sensitive to humidity. There were 16 varieties with humidity resistance values between 2.0-2.4,showing sensitive to humidity.There were 46 varieties with humidity resistance values between 2.4-3.0,showing resistance to humidity.There were 6 varieties with humidity resistance values higher than 3.0,showing extreme resistance to humidity.These 71 varieties were divided by clustering analysis into 3 groups at 15 european distance,namely humidity resistance type,more resistant to humidity type,and not resistant to humidity type.Generally speaking,varieties of european greenhouse type are mainly resistant to humidity,but there are still varieties not resistant to humidity.Varieties of South China type are mainly more resistant to humidity,but there are also varieties resistant and not resistant to humidity.Varieties of North China type are mainly not resistant to humidity,but there are still varieties more resistant or resistant to humidity.These results can provide direct evidences for material selection in cucumber humidity resistance breeding,and selection of production varieties in cucumber cultivation under humidity environment.

    In recent years,affected by global climate change,flood disaster happened frequently,has seriously affected the north pumpkin production.To study the mechanism of pumpkin waterlogging tolerance,in this experiment,two pumpkin materials with strong waterlogging tolerance and waterlogging sensitivity were selected as the research objects.Using the double pot method for flooding stress,the expression level of antioxidant enzymes was determined by qRT-PCR,transcriptional sequencing was performed by RNA-seq,and the differentially expressed genes were screened and analyzed for functional annotation.The results were as follows:after flooding stress,the relative expression level of oxidase gene in leaves of waterlogging tolerant material‘013-2’was generally up-regulated,and all of them were higher than that of waterlogging sensitive material‘367-2’.Transcriptome sequencing showed that 3 231 differentially expressed genes were identified in ‘013-2’ and ‘367-2’ leaves,including 1 778 up-regulated genes and 1 453 down-regulated genes.GO enrichment showed that differentially expressed genes were significantly enriched in photosynthesis,ethylene reaction,phosphoric acid signal transduction system,cell response to ethylene stimulation,ethylene activation signal pathway and other biological processes.KEGG annotation revealed that 947 differentially expressed genes were annotated in 121 metabolic pathways,which were significantly enriched in photosynthesis - antenna protein,plant hormone signal transduction,MAPK signal pathway-plant,plant - pathogen interaction,phenylpropane biosynthesis and other metabolic pathways.KEGG GSEA found that plant hormone signal transduction,circadian rhythm-plant,MAPK signal pathway-plant,plant - pathogen interaction and other gene sets scored the highest.KEGG GSEA found that genes related to plant hormone signal transduction,circadian rhythm,MAPK signaling pathway,and plant pathogen interaction received the highest scores.This study laid a foundation for further exploration of regulatory and functional genes related to pumpkin waterlogging tolerance.

    In order to establish a technique to control the growth of grafted bitter gourd seedlings,this paper took‘Biyue’bitter gourd and bottle gourd rootstock‘Shuangyi’as material,studied the effects of 3 plant growth regulators as DHFe,DPC,FeO on the biological characters and chlorophyll contents of rootstock and grafted bitter gourd seedlings.Soaking rootstock seed with plant growth retardant and comprehensively evaluated the effects on the quality of rootstock and grafted bitter gourd seedling by the method of membership function.The results indicated that there were significantly different effects on biological characters of rootstock and grafted bitter gourd seedlings by different treatments. Using method of membership function,we found rootstock seed treated with 0.12 mg·L-1 DHFe had better control effect on rootstock seedlings and 0.07 mg·L-1 DHFe had high quality in grafted bitter gourd seedlings.In conclusion,treating 0.07-0.12 mg·L-1 DHFe could effectivly improve the quality of both rootstock and grafted bitter gourd seedlings.

    ‘Guota 612’is a new red cluster hot pepper F1 hybrid by crossing inbred line‘18-Y420’as female parent and inbred line‘18-Y423’as male parent.It is medium mature,with vigorous plant growth,concentrated fruit setting,and strong branching ability,reaching 8-10 lateral branches.Fruits clustered,with 8-12 fruits in a single cluster and 80-100 fruiting per plant.The color of green mature fruit is green and full matured one is red.The shape of fruit was like a figure,with about 7.5 cm in length,1.2 cm in width,0.15 cm in thickness and 7 g in single fruit weight.The VC content is 1 176.0 mg·kg-1(FW),capsaicin content is 740.83 mg·kg-1(DW).It is resistance to TMV and medium resistant to phytophthora blight.The fruit is suitable for fresh and dehydrated consumption.The yield of fresh fruit is about 23.4 t·hm-2,equivalent to dry pepper is about 5.85 t·hm-2.It is suitable for open fields in Henan Province.

    ‘Yunganjiao No.7’is a new dried pepper F1 hybrid crossed with inbred line‘258-1-2-3-1X-1’as female parent and superior individual‘390-1-1’as male parent.The plant has strong growth and branching,medium maturity,and high fruit setting rate.It is about 100 days from planting to first commercial red fruit harvest.Fruit type is line,mature fruit is dark red with spicy,fragrant,fruit surface is smooth and shinning.Its fruit is 11.5 cm in length,1.1 cm in width and single dried fruit weight is 1.3 g.The capsaicin content is 0.12%,and VC content is 1 570.13 mg·kg-1.It is resistance to anthracnose.The fresh red pepper yield is 13.8-16.2 t·hm-2,and dry red pepper yield is 3.45-4.05 t·hm-2.The drying rate is about 25%.It is suitable for spring cultivation in main dried pepper producing areas such as Wenshan,Qujing,Zhaotong,and Chuxiong in Yunnan Province,as well as small fruit dried pepper type areas below the altitude of 2 200 meters.

    ‘Lifan No.10’is a new medium-early maturing tomato F1 hybrid cultivated with inbred line‘1503’as female parent and‘If1501’as male parent.It is infinite growth type,and has strong growth potential.Its growing period is about 98 days from sowing to initial harvest.The first inflorescence emerged at 6-7th nodes on the main stem.The fruit is of round,and high hardness.The mature fruit is pink in color without green shoulders and single fruit average weight is 203 g.It is medium resistant to TYLCV,CMV,TMV,leaf mold,blight and root-knot nematode.The yield is about 97.5 t·hm-2.It is suitable for planting in Gansu,Inner Mongolia,Shandong,Ningxia,Qinghai and Yunnan.

    ‘Jiuxing No.31’is a new Chinese chives variety of developed by crossing favor strain‘96-13-32’of‘Tianjinqingjiu’as female parent and favor strain‘19-5-6’of‘92-1’as male parent through sexual hybridization and systematic breeding.It has strong upright growth,and early spring regreening.The average plant height is of 49.0 cm.Its average pseudostems is 10.1 cm in length,and 0.6 cm in width.Its leaf blades are dark green in color with little wax powder.The leaf blades are of long and wide stripe shape.Its average leaves are 38.9 cm in length,and 0.8 cm in width.The average single plant has 5 functional leaves,and weight is 8.7 g.It has strong tillering ability,and will not go dormant in winter.It is strongly resistant to cold.Its resistance to gray mold is stronger than that of the contrast‘791’.Its protein content is 1.82%,β-carotene content is 9.10 μg·g-1,VC content is 216.0 mg·kg-1,and iron content is 71.1 mg·kg-1.Every year,it can be harvested for 6-7 times,and yield about 187.5 t·hm-2.It is suitable for planting in Henan Province and similar ecological conditions areas.
