    Myanmar’s watermelon and melon are an important source of income for local farmers and play a crucial role in ensuring the supply for China’s winter and spring melon market.They also represent agricultural cooperation among countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.Myanmar’s climate is suitable for the cultivation of high-quality watermelon and melon,and it complements China’s climate well,allowing for off -season production.The total cost of planting watermelon and melon in Myanmar ranges from 4 700 to 7 300 yuan per 667 m2,with the highest production cost still being 2 700 yuan lower than in Hainan,China.However,for Chinese melon traders and farmers to enter Myanmar and engage in watermelon and melon production independently poses significant risks.It is recommended to adopt strategies such as conducting border market transactions,entrusting production,or investing in companies with production experience and a foundation in Myanmar.Both China and Myanmar should jointly promote the development of the watermelon and melon industry in Myanmar by introducing not just individual melon varieties and production techniques from China,but also a complete set of methods and plans,which would eventually lead to the transition to China’s technical standards in the melon industry,thereby gradually enhancing the level of Myanmar’s watermelon and melon industry.

    Through a comprehensive investigation of the current situation of the development of the vegetable industry in Xinjiang,this paper summarizes the general situation of vegetable production,the development of facility vegetables,the development of characteristic vegetables,the circulation of market,the level of science and technology,the situation of talents,the main body of management and quality and safety in Xinjiang. The existing problems of vegetable industry were analyzed as follows:the scale of vegetable production is low and the competitiveness is not enough;the conversion rate of vegetable processing is low and the added value of products is low;older facilities;resource factors are in short supply and the contradiction between supply and demand is prominent. In view of the above problems,the following countermeasures and suggestions are put forward:to promote the development of large-scale industrial clusters and improve industrial competitiveness;focus on creating special vegetable advantage areas,the development of intensive processing of special vegetables;to develop the facility vegetable industry in southern Xinjiang and improve the level of facility intellectualization;we will give full play to our free trade area advantages and develop vegetable trade.

    Handan,Hebei Province has a long history of garlic cultivation,gradually forming a major garlic production area centered on Daming County and Yongnian District. Garlic fresh food and processed products are deeply welcomed in domestic and foreign markets,and Daming County has become the most important garlic seed production base in China. This article investigates the current development status of the characteristic garlic industry in Handan City and compares the cost-benefi t situation of garlic in major production areas such as Jinxiang in Shandong Province and Pizhou in Jiangsu Province. It is found that there are problems in the development of the garlic industry in Handan,such as lagging garlic variety updates,slow development of full mechanization,lack of high standard chain leading processing enterprises,large fluctuations in garlic prices,and low enthusiasm of garlic farmers. Suggestions and strategies for industrial development are proposed,including introducing or improving garlic varieties,promoting full mechanization of garlic,providing policy support for deep processing enterprises,and strengthening brand cultivation.

    The R gene of tomato against root-knot nematode disease is the Mi gene family,and 10 members(Mi-1 to Mi-9,Mi-HT)have been identified.Currently,the main market commodity species of tomato rely on the resistance of Mi-1 gene,and the available resistance sources are relatively single.In this paper,based on the research progress of tomato Mi gene members and disease resistance mechanism,the signaling pathway of tomato defense against root-knot nematode invasion was analyzed and summarized.The application value and prospects of these regulatory signals in tomato breeding for resistance to root-knot nematodes were demonstrated,which provide theoretical reference for breeders to improve the ability of resistance to the root-knot nematodes disease from the aspect of signal regulation.

    To achieve high-throughput genotyping and molecular marker-assisted selection(MAS)in tomato,22 molecular markers related to tomato disease resistance(Ty-1,Ty-2,Ty-3a,Ty-5,Sm,Rx4, Tm-2,Pto,I-1,Frl,Mi-1,Bwr-12,Ph-3),sugar and acid content(STP,Lin5,ALMT9),fruit hardness(FIS1),fruit shape(OVATE),inflorescence branch(J2,EJ2,STM3)and plant type(SP) were developed. The results of genotyping showed that 22 markers could accurately classify heterozygous and two homozygous genotypes. For disease resistance,the genotypes of 27 tomato varieties showed that 90% of the tested varieties contained fi ve or more disease resistance genes,and 16 varieties contained 7-9 disease resistance genes. Six tomato varieties contained high sugar,high acid and multi-infl orescence branching genes.In addition,effi cient KASP markers were developed and genotyped for eight of these key genes to verify the stability of the molecular markers. In conclusion,the molecular markers developed in this study have important application value for improving the efficiency of resistance breeding and quality breeding in tomato and for accelerating the breeding of new varieties with high yield,high quality and disease resistance

    Pathogenesis-related proteins(PRs)were important defense protein of plants,induced in responses to diff erent environmental stresses.PR-17 was a new member of the PRs family.In this study,CsPRp27 was cloned from resistance cucumber D1322 leaves by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and its bioinformatics was analyzed.Results showed that the length of open reading frame of CsPRp27 was 750 bp and encoded 260 amino acids,belonged to member of basic secretory proteins family.CsPRp27 was a stable,basic,secretory protein,and contained a transmembrane domain between 37th and 59th amino acids.Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that CsPRp27 and CmPRp27(melon)falled into the same branch,and had close genetic relationship with Nicotiana tabacum,Solanum tuberosum,Capsicum annuum and Vitis vinifera,which were had similar protein motif 1-motif 5.According to promoter sequence and interaction protein prediction,expression of CsPRp27 probably regulated by MeJA and histone modification.The result was a foundation for further exploring the function of CsPRp27 in cucumber in resistance to plant disease.

    As important type of ceruloplasmin in organism,laccase plays important role in plant growth regulation and resistance adv ersity.In this study,based on the genome and transcriptome of Amaranthus tricolor L.,the laccase gene family members of Amaranthus tricolor L.(AtrLAC)were identifi ed.Online software was used to predict the bioinformatics information.Meanwhile,the gene expression pattern was analyzed according to TPM of transcrisptome data.The results indicated that a total of 19 LAC genes were screened from Amaranthus tricolor L. genome,the AtrLAC protein ranged from 118-1 191 aa in length,the molecular weight was in the range of 13.05-135.10 kD,and the isoelectric point was about 6.49-9.85.Most of AtrLACs were hydrophilic,alkaline and stable proteins.The subcellular localization was predicted that the most of AtrLACs were outside the cell membrane or on the plasma membrane.The 19 LAC members of Amaranth tricolor L. and the 17 LAC members of Arabidopsis thaliana were clustered into 6 groups according to the phylogenetic tree.The TPM analysis showed that the expression of AtrLACs was diff erent under diff erent treatments.Among them,AtrLAC7 might play an important role in betalain synthesis,hormone regulation and light condition in betalain.

    In order to explore the eff ects of defi cit irrigation treatment and harvest time on tomato shortterm storage,the changes of color,weight loss rate,hardness,VC,soluble sugar,titratable acid,peroxidase(POD)and polyphenol oxidase(PPO)of tomato fruits with 5 types of diff erent maturity(S1-S5)under 3 types of irrigation volume(normal irrigation CK,light defi cit irrigation T1 and moderate defi citirrigation T2)were compared at under the conditions of substrate cultivation in a solar greenhouse.The resultsindicated that tomatoes of lower irrigated amount(moderate defi cit irrigation T2)exhibited higher levels of hardness,soluble sugar,VC content,POD and PPO activities compared to those treated with higher irrigated amount(normal irrigation CK,light defi cit irrigation T1),whereas the titratable acid content was relatively lower.Tomato with low maturity could keep good appearance quality during storage,and its antioxidant enzyme content was relatively higher.Considering the comprehensive irrigation volume and harvest maturity,the tomato storage quality of the S2 stage under moderate defi cit irrigation(T2) was optimal and more suitable for short-term storage.

    Chilli veinal mottle virus(ChiVMV)is a RNA virus that causes serious damage in pepper production.In order to clarify diff erences in physiological and biochemical changes of diff erent pepper varieties in response to ChiVMV infection,susceptible‘Guijiao No.12’and resistant‘Perennial’were inoculated with ChiVMV by artifi cial friction.On the days of 2,4,8,15,20 days after inoculation respectively,leaf samples were collected and used to measure defense enzyme activities,and content of chlorophyll(Chl),malondialdehyde(MDA)and osmoregulatory substances.Disease index(DI)of two pepper varieties was also investigated.The results were shown that‘Guijiao No.12’ had a disease index of 79.34,reaching the high level of susceptibility to ChiVMV on the day of 30 days after inoculation.While‘Perennial’had a disease index of 9.88,reaching the high level of resistance to ChiVMV.From the 2-20 days after inoculation with ChiVMV,the activities of peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT),polyphenol oxidase(PPO),and the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)and proline(Pro)of the two varieties increased on diff erent degree,and the chlorophyll content decreased when compared with the control(no inoculation of ChiVMV).Meanwhile Chl and Pro content and POD activity of the resistant variety were signifi cantly higher than that of the susceptible variety at the same period,and MDA content of the former was signifi cantly lower than that of the latter.The results of further analysis were revealed that the content of Chl and Pro,and POD activity were positively correlated with the pepper resistance to ChiVMV,whereas MDA content was negatively correlatedwith the pepper resistance to ChiVMV.Therefore,it was considered that the content of Chl,Pro and MDA,and POD activity could be used as the preferred indexes for the evaluation of pepper resistance to ChiVMV.

    Grafting was mainly used for the control of bacterial wilt in eggplant.There is a strong demand for dominant resistant rootstocks in production.In this study,we used stabilized male-sterile and parthenocarpic line CMSD-6 as the male-sterile donor parent and high resistant lines BW2,BW9,‘Tiemuzhen’as the resistant donor parents to bacterial wilt.Combined with hybridization,backcrossing,identification of agronomic traits,fertility,resistance and analysis of combining ability,we cultivated 3 excellent male-sterile lines(CMSBW2,CMSBW9,CMSTMZ)with high resistance to bacterial wilt.Furtherly,CMSBW2 showed the highest GCA eff ect value for main stem diameter and plant height,and the lowest GCA eff ect value for incidence of bacterial wilt,which could be used as the core dominant parent for the cultivation of rootstock in eggplant.This study lay a material foundation for improving the bacterial wilt resistance,reducing the cost of manual seed production,ensuring hybrid seed purity,and preventing parental loss.

    In this study,‘Jingfan 402’ as the test material to study the effects of exogenous spraying of methylglyoxal solution(0,5,10,20 mmol · L-1)on the growth,photosynthesis,and antioxidant capacity of tomato seedlings under salt stress(150 mmol · L-1 NaCl).The results showed that NaCl treatment significantly inhibited the growth,osmotic regulation,and antioxidant capacity of tomato seedlings,while spraying with asuitable concentration of exogenous acetone aldehyde under NaCl stress improved the growth of tomato seedlings,reduced electrolyte leakage,decreased the content of malonaldehyde and Na+ in roots and leaves,and reduced the content of hydrogen peroxide in leaves.Combined with the experimental data,exogenous spraying of 20 mmol · L-1 acetone aldehyde had the best mitigation eff ect on tomato seedlings under salt stress,and could improve the salt tolerance of tomato seedlings.

    In order to find out the development regularity and genetic traits of aroma components in‘Benihoppe’ fruit,and provide basis data for strawberry aroma breeding.We chose ‘Benihoppe’ and its father‘ Sachinoka’,its mother‘ Akihime’ as experimental materials,tested the aroma components of fruits in young period,veraison period,maturation period and storaged in 0 ℃ fridge for 24 h by gas chromatographymass spectrometry determination.The results showed that there were 69 aroma components in 3 strawberry fruits,including 38 esters,8 aldehydes,10 alcohols,3 furans and ketones,2 acids and 8 terpenes.15 aroma components were found in‘ Benihoppe’ and its parents,2 aroma components were found in‘ Benihoppe’and its father ‘Sachinoka’,14 aroma components were found in ‘Benihoppe’ and its mother ‘Akihime’,20 aroma components were not found in ‘Benihoppe’,and 18 aroma components were found only in‘Benihoppe’.The main aroma components of strawberry fruit in young stage and veraison period are(Z)-2-Hexen-1-ol,(E)-2-Hexenal and Hexanal;the main aroma components of strawberry fruit in maturation stage and 0 ℃ storage for 24 h period is ethyl hexanoate. The clustering results showed that the distances among ‘Benihoppe’ samples and ‘Akihime’ samples were closer,and the distances among ‘Benihoppe’ samples and ‘Sachinoka’ samples were farther.There is apositive correlation among the ester components,so ethylhexanoate can be used as an important indicator for ester fl avored strawberries breeding in future.

    The process of tomato breeding is facilitated by the use of materials with a high level of genetic diversity,which can be used to develop new varieties with specific target traits.In this study,16 quality traits and 8 quantitative traits of 96 processed tomato germplasm resources were evaluated using a mutation level approach,and analysed with insertion/deletion(InDel)markers.The results demonstrated that the phenotypic traits of the tested materials exhibited a high degree of genetic diversity.The highest Shannon-Wiener diversity index for quality traits was observed for fruit shape(H′ = 1.66).The genetic diversity index(H’)of quantitative traits exhibited a range of values,from 1.67 to 4.56.The highest values were observed for fruit weight(4.56)and pulp thickness(4.56).The average number of effective alleles(Ne)detected by 48 pairs of InDel markers was 1.710,with a polymorphism information content(PIC)ranging from 0.041 to 0.540,with an average of 0.330.InDel labeling cluster analysis revealed that 96 materials could be divided into three categories.Group 1,which contained 39 resources,exhibited strong growth and fruit hardness.The second group contains a single resource,and all characters are neutral.The third group,comprising 56 resources,was distinguished by short plants and low hardness.Therefore,parental materials can be selected from the aforementioned groups based on target traits.In conclusion,the experiment provides a more accurate and comprehensive scientific basis for the utilisation and breeding of processed tomato germplasm resources.

    The purpose of this study was to use near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy(NIRS)to establish a near-infrared prediction model of 6 types in tomatoes and to provide the theoretical basis.377 fresh tomato samples were selected as the calibration sets and 94 were used as the validations sets.NIRS used with combination of modifi ed partial least squares(MPLS)to construct and verify the pros and cons of establishing a prediction model.The results showed that the cross-validation correlation coeffi cients(1-VR)of the tomato dry matter,total acid,soluble sugar,Vitamin C and soluble solid content were 0.979,0.851,0.828,0.832 and 0.959,all exceeding 0.80,which can be used for actual prediction.The content of lycopene prediction models 1-VR were 0.767,lower than 0.80.The correlation of the lycopene constructed models was poor,and the models need further optimization.

    In order to determine the control effi cacy of brofl anilide against Tuta absoluta,the laboratory toxicity and control effi cacy in the fi eld were evaluated by leaf-dipping method in the laboratory,spray test and root irrigation test in the fi eld. The results of laboratory toxicity showed that the t oxicity of brofl anilide against T. absoluta was higher than that of chlorantraniliprole,with the LC50 of 0.707 mg · L-1.The results of spray test and the root irrigation test showed that brofl anilide has a good control efficacy on T. absoluta.The control efficacies of 100 g · L-1 brofl anilide SC in the spray test and the root irrigation test were more than 79% and 60% after 7 d,respectively,which were signifi cantly higher than control efficacies of 200 g · L-1 chlorantraniliprole SC,150 g · L-1indoxacarb SC,and 10% spinosad SC.In summary,100 g · L-1 brofl anilide SC had good potential and value for controlling T. absoluta in the field.

    ‘Yuzihongzaoqie No.1’is a new early-maturing eggplant F1 hybrid,developed by crossing inbred line‘0070-2’as female parent and‘1116’as male parent.The first flower is setting on 9-10th nodes.The plant has moderate growth potential,with average plant height of 82.0 cm and spreading degree of 75.0 cm.The fruit is long type and straight in shape,with dark purple skin in the early stage and purple red in the middle and late stages.Its average length and transverse diameter is 29.0 cm and 6.5 cm,and single fruit weight is 280.0 g.The flesh is white,and soft flesh.It is moderate resistant to cotton blight and phomopsis rot.It can yield about 49.5 t · hm-2.It is suitable for early spring open field cultivation in southwestern regions.

    ‘Chunshu No.12’is a new fresh and starch processing potato variety selected through systematic selection with‘78-11-7’as female parent and‘Jizhangshu No.8’as male parent.It is of medium-late maturity.Its growth period is about 89 days.The plant is of up-right type,and average height of 65 cm.Its tuber is of oval-shaped,large and uniform,with slightly rough and few eyes.The skin is yellow and the fl esh is light yellow.The rate of marketable tubers is high.The content of dry matter is 24.95%,content of starch is 19.30%,and the content of crude protein is 1.66%.It is resistant to storage and transport,and resistant to PVX and PVY.It can yield about 45 t · hm-2.It is suitable for spring planting in Jilin,Heilongjiang Province and eastern Inner Mongolia.

    ‘Jiangcheng No.2’is a new watermelon F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line‘296ACA’as female parent and‘313ACA’as male parent.It is of late maturity,and plant growth potential is strong.The whole growth period is about 105 days and fruit development about 34 days in open field cultivation in spring.The fruit is elliptical in shape,with single fruit weight of 6-8 kg and yield of about 37.5 t· hm-2.The skin is light green with wide green stripes,and average skin thickness of 1.1 cm.The fl esh is red,with soluble solids content of 12.1% in center and 9.0% at edges.The cross-section is beautiful,with less fi berand high numbers of seeds.It is suitable for cultivating under open ground in spring in Hubei Province.

    ‘Jixiang E36’is a new wide-temperature and early-maturing Lentinus edodes variety bred by single spore hybridization with early-maturing hard Lentinus edodes‘0912’and early-maturing fl eshy Lentinus edodes‘JXB5’as parents.The mycelium is white and dense,with strong abilities to decompose lignin,cellulose,and hemicellulose.The mycelium age is about 80 days,and temperature diff erence of more than 6 ℃ between day and night is required for fruiting.The average number of primordium is 20.3.The fruiting temperature range is 8-29 ℃,with the optimal fruiting temperature being 12-23 ℃.The fruiting bodies are scattered,with light brown cap,average diameter of 56.6 mm,and thickness of 29.2 mm.The crosssection is spherical,and the stem is relatively short.The fl esh is tight and delicate.The average weight of single mushroom is 19.2 g.The biological effi ciency is 98%-115%.It is suitable for bag cultivation in Hebei Province and similar areas.
